Owner, three-time CrossFit Games Champion & competitive runner

2013-07-24 13.45.48-1
Lisa was preparing for a 50K when a friend encouraged her to add Crossfit Endurance to her training. After a successful race with help from the Crossfit Endurance methods, Lisa started attending Crossfit classes more regularly and fell in love with the variety of movements and motivation from other athletes. A consummate athlete at the start, it wasn’t long before Lisa began competing at the local, regional, national, and global level. Lisa was part of the Affiliate Cup winning team at the Crossfit Games in 2011 and won the Masters (age 45-49) competition in 2012 and 2013. Lisa opened Crossfit Never Doubt with her husband, Thomas, as a place to share her passion and welcome everyone to join the FUN and fitness of Crossfit. Prior to her competitive Crossfit career, Lisa was Director of Global Technical Education at EMC, Master’s (45-49) Indoor National record holder in the 400M, Ironman Kona Qualifier and launched the Inov-8 brand in the US. Lisa’s favorite Crossfit movements are double unders, deadlifts and ring dips and when she’s not at the gym, she is attached at the hip to her family; doing anything from a destination running event to hanging out at the beach.

IMG_9082
Marc fell into Crossfit like most: a friend told him to try a workout, it took forever to complete (Angie), and he was hooked. Marc was an all-state athlete in high school and at first, enjoyed Crossfit for the workout and competition. He has since found a deeper passion in motivating and coaching kids, teens, and adults as well as applying athlete understanding & movement analytics to build effective programming. Marc takes tremendous pride in improving his knowledge and understanding of fitness to pass along to the athletes at Crossfit Never Doubt. Prior to his full-time role as coach at CFND, Marc was a news & sports videographer, sports reporter, and Family Ministries Pastor. Marc’s favorite Crossfit movement is handstand push-ups and when he’s not at the gym, he is on a mission to see every MLB stadium with his brother.

MaryLynn Freedman

Crossfit/Elements Coach, Speech Pathologist & Triathlete

Mary Lynn set the target for the Yoke Carries. Strong Girl!
MaryLynn spent months watching a small group of athletes do Crossfit in a corner of her globo gym before she mustered up the courage to join them. MaryLynn is a triathlete and former field hockey player, but found Crossfit to be no match for her former training. She loves sharing Crossfit with athletes new to the sport and finds incredible fulfillment in seeing them achieve their personal & athletic goals. MaryLynn’s favorite thing about coaching is seeing people who are intimidated by Crossfit come in and surprise themselves with athletic success. MaryLynn is a full-time speech pathologist and mother of two. She loves working out with the early morning classes and her favorite Crossfit movements are thrusters & burpees (short girl movements as she calls them). When she’s not at the gym, MaryLynn is spending time with her family and testing out new paleo recipes.

denette on sled 2Denette’s friend at Jazzercise suggested she try Crossfit and after her first class, there was no turning back. Before making the decision to stay home with her twins, Denette was an account manager at a major software company. Her favorite Crossfit movements are the power clean & push press and when she’s not in the gym, she is working on her non-profit organization for children’s schools & feeding centers in Managua, Nicaragua.

Whitney Pyle

Crossfit Coach, Nurse & Marathoner

Whitney was training for her first 10K on a treadmill in a ‘regular gym’ when she found Crossfit. She kept herself entertained during her runs by watching the Crossfit classes and soon decided to ditch the boring treadmill and join the fun. Whitney loves the team atmosphere at Crossfit and has found that because there are always new goals to strive for, she is always motivated to show up. Whitney has competed as an individual and team in many local Crossfit competitions (always with a top three finish) and recently ran the Boston Marathon. She is a full time urgent care RN in addition to her role at CFND. Whitney’s favorite Crossfit movements are overhead squats, double unders and handstand push-ups. When she’s not in the gym, Whitney can be found hanging out with her dogs (a Lab & Chihuahua) and spending as much time as possible at the beach.

Phil D’Eon

PeakFitness coach, Avid Skier & Marathoner

runningphilPhil did not get into exercise until he was in his 40s. He was a skier for many years and after trying lots of “$10 special” gym memberships, Phil was bored with the standard gym fare. With great skepticism, Phil tried Crossfit and after only a few classes, he was addicted.   Phil wants athletes to know that Crossfit is for all ages and that the challenge is just to show up. Phil is the Director of Commercial Product Support at Siemens Healthcare, Race Director of the Novans Pride 5K and father of two. Phil’s favorite PeakFitness classes are long MetCons made up of several whole body movements that make you a little uncomfortable, but make you feel great afterward. When he’s not in the gym, Phil is an avid reader that insists on holding a book in his hands…along with a glass of red wine.

Joan Mitchell

PeakFitness Coach, Small Business Owner & Certified Personal Trainer

Joanie has an athletic background, having participated in everything from kenpo karate to yoga and volleyball over the years. She was tired of her same gym routine and hadn’t been seeing results, so she let her nieces talk her into trying Crossfit. The coaching and variety in workouts were what sold Joanie. After 3+ years of Crossfitting, Joanie is still excited and motivated to learn new things. Joanie has owned a business with her husband for over 30 years and is mother to three daughters. Her favorite PeakFitness class is one with multiple varied movements that hit all body parts and give her a cardio kick. Joanie’s favorite part of coaching is seeing the accomplishment and excitement in athletes when they push past their comfort zone. When she’s not in the gym, Joanie enjoys time with her grandson and sitting on the dock of her lake home.
